My Go-to Makeup Products
Written by Devon DiMichele
My makeup obsession began during my days as a competitive dancer. My friends and I would pile into a stuffy gymnasium and perfect our makeup like our lives depended on it (we seriously loved doing our makeup). But we didn’t just wear any makeup, we wore performance makeup, and we went all out. From this tedious application with friends, I learned so many tips and tricks that I still use to this day. In an attempt to tone down the vivacious colors I have once wore on stage, I have struggled to find an everyday look that suits me best. After many different eyeshadow palettes and mascaras, though, I have finally found the perfect one! These makeup products are stunning when they’re worn all together to make a subtle statement but they also look amazing if you’d like to pick and choose which products to wear depending on the day! If you love these products as much as I do, be sure to hover over the image of your choice to purchase them!
Dior Forever Skin Correct Concealer
Does anyone else remember when NARS concealer was the best one around? Well, now while I’m still a NARS fan, I must say this Dior concealer knocks NARS right out of the park. This concealer is light on the skin, yet provides full coverage. I use the shade 2- Warm Peach. For the best results, I use the Sephora Collection PRO Concealer Brush #71 to blend it in.
ITEM Beauty by Addison Rae Brow Chow Clean Smudge-Proof Eyebrow Pencil
Talk about perfect brows!!! This eyebrow pencil is not too pigmented, so it’s easy to build up to whatever coverage you like. I have a dark hair color and relatively full brows, so for the perfect touch, I use the color Neutral Taupe
Pat McGrath Labs Permagel Ultra Lip Pencil
This lip liner in the shade Contour paired with the Fenty Gloss Bomb in the shade Baby Brute, pictured below on the right, is my go-to lip combo. The contrast between the dark tones of the lip liner and the soft glow of the lip gloss combine to create a beautiful masterpiece.
Makeup by Mario Master Mattes™ Eyeshadow Palette
Whether your goal is to create a glowy white look or a smooth chocolate brown one, this palette will mix perfectly to make the look you’ve envisioned come to life. Personally, I am obsessed with the dark brown shade Matte 11 (second in from the right on the bottom row as shown in the image above). I use it for winged eyeliner and it has seriously never looked better.
L’oréal Telescopic Mascara
As impossible as it may seem, I think I’ve tried nearly every mascara out there. From a long streak of trial and error, I can say with confidence that no other mascara can compare. This mascara has made my lashes appear to be so long and natural… thank you for this one, Tik Tok!
